Aquadventures is located within Chankanaab National Park and is a must-visit in Cozumel! This park has been the #1 attraction on the island since the lagoon became a national park as a refuge area to protect the sea life. The name comes from two Mayan words meaning, Chan-Small and Kanaab-Ocean. The Lagoon is considered an exceptional ecosystem worldwide because we can find coral formations that have allowed the development of fish communities, crustaceans, mollusks, and marine gardens. It ́s linked to the ocean through submarine tunnels and receives freshwater from more tunnels coming from the jungle ́s underground system and cenotes.
